Annual Meeting of the AGD 2009

in Potsdam, Oct. 9-10

Topic: New approaches to molecular cancer diagnostics

Dear Friends and Members of the AGD,

Molecular diagnostics is a dramatically emerging field in modern medicine and its application to patient care is increasingly linked with treatment decisions. However, many different aspects including the kind of molecular targets (genome, transcriptome, proteome, epigenome, etc.) and data interpretation have to be considered in order to reach disease relevant statements. The 2009 meeting of the AGD aims to cover these different areas in cancer diagnostics in four sessions:

Session 1 - Deep sequencing – the solution?
Session 2 - The role of the epigenome
Session 3 - The impact of the tumor environment
Session 4 - Diagnostic targets

The complete scientific program can be downloaded here.

We expect from the presentations of this meeting and from the vivid discussion with the participants fruitful impulses for further developments in the field of molecular diagnostics.

You are cordially invited to join the 2009 meeting of the AGD in Potsdam (9th and 10th of October 2009). We are convinced that the program is attractive and that the contribution of the invited excellent speakers should be able to inspire you and your future work. The pleasant atmosphere of the Seminaris SeeHotel Potsdam and its surrounding located at Templiner See is ideally suited to support this highly interesting scientific meeting by recreation of body and mind.

We are looking forward to seeing you in Potsdam.

Sincerely yours,
